How to clean a saltwater fishing reel
To clean a spinning reel after using it in saltwater, there are a few easy steps. The first is to quickly hose it off. Then remove the spool, remove the drag washers, and clean with WD-40 or similar. After you clean the washers, simply dry them and put them back together. After you clean the drag washers, spray a reel and line cleaner like Ardent Reel Kleen Cleaner. This cleaner dissolves old grease and adds a protective coating.

I bought two of these reels, one red and one black. When I spooled up the red one with line it was higher on one side than the other. The difference was approximately 1.5 mm. That may not seem like a lot, but in my experience after a day of many casts that problem can become magnified. I used a Berkley Reel Spooling Device to hold the reel level and to keep constant tension on the line. I re-spooled the line 3x and got pretty much the same result each time. The line went on the other same model black reel better, not perfectly, but much better. I usually use more expensive reels, so this may just be what you get for a little over $20 US. I debated on returning this reel, but for the price, I decided to use it some and see how it works out. On the up side, in a perverse sort of way, the reel holds less line than stated. Fortunately, A 150 yd spool of 6/20 Suffix braid went on perfectly. Fast shipping!

nota; mi opinión personal, el producto es de calidad, pero es de un nivel inferior a su antecesor , el Spartacus plus. El haberle puesto en la publicidad Spartacus 2, te dejas llevar que es superior. La única ventaja, es que sirve para agua salada. Pero trae menos imanes, y no trae freno centrifugo.

The stock bearings in side plate, spool shank and under tension knob are not smooth. I swapped mine out with hybrid ceramics and wow, buttery smooth now. Great buy for the $ just to have as a creek or river reel to not worry about getting damaged.
